Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Gyan Ganga Group Pvt. Ltd. (“Gyan Ganga Group”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Krishi Ganga mobile application (the “App”), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The App was previously published under an individual developer account and is now operated by Gyan Ganga Group Pvt. Ltd.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Krishi Ganga App and related in-app features, including farm and poultry batch management, income and expense records, reminders, reports, optional batch sharing with veterinarians, lab service requests, medical and harvest records, learning content, and push notifications. It does not cover third-party websites or services that you open from within the App (for example, app store pages or external links).

3. Information you provide

We process information that you voluntarily enter or generate while using the App, such as:

  • Account details (for example, name, phone number, or email, if you provide them during registration or profile setup)
  • Farm and poultry batch data (livestock counts, production, sales, deaths, expenses, stock, and related notes)
  • Customer or buyer details you choose to store for sales tracking
  • Medical, harvest, lab request, and other operational records you add in the App
  • Messages or requests you send when contacting support or when sharing a batch with a veterinarian you select
  • Reminders, preferences, and notification settings you configure

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for sharing batch access only with people you trust, such as your veterinarian or farm staff.

4. Information collected automatically

To operate and improve the App, limited technical information may be processed, such as:

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Push notification tokens (so we can deliver alerts you enable)
  • Basic usage or diagnostic data needed to maintain security, fix errors, and improve performance
  • Approximate connection or request metadata required for sign-in, sync, or backup of your farm data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your farm data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide core App features (records, statistics, reports, reminders, and batch management)
  • Enable optional sharing of specific batches with veterinarians or advisors you approve
  • Process lab service requests and display related status in the App
  • Send service-related notifications (for example, reminders or account updates you opt into)
  • Respond to support requests and protect against misuse, fraud, or security incidents
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms

6. How we share information

We may share information only in these situations:

  • With your direction: when you share a batch or data with a veterinarian or other party you choose inside the App
  • Service providers: trusted hosting, database, email, or notification providers that help us run the App under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfer: in connection with a merger, restructuring, or transfer of the App to another entity within Gyan Ganga Group, with notice where required by law

We do not share your farm records with unrelated marketers.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your account or certain data by contacting us (see Section 12). Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong device passcode and keep your login details private.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or update information in your profile or farm records within the App
  • Withdraw batch sharing with a veterinarian by changing sharing settings or contacting us
  • Disable push notifications in your device or App settings
  • Request deletion of your account or personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable under local law

10. Children

The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International users

The App is primarily operated from Nepal. If you use the App from another country, your information may be processed in Nepal or where our service providers operate, under protections described in this policy.

12. App Store and third-party disclosures

Apple App Store and Google Play may collect information according to their own privacy policies when you download or update the App. Our App Store listing indicates that the developer does not collect data for tracking or advertising purposes through the App. Information you enter for farm management is processed solely to provide App functionality as described above.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we publish a new version. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on our website where appropriate.
